I’m a father, husband, son, brother and friend rolled into one. To fulfil the responsibilities of the above roles, I work in the financial services industry. When I have time to myself, I read, exercise and make forecasts to grow myself, and invest to grow my wealth, hopefully. Here’s my credential from the Good Judgement Project 2.0 COVID-19 Forecasting Tournament.
I started this site in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic as a record of how I grow myself and wealth, and also share musings about some observations and learnings from my various roles. I intend to write a weekly letter to document my growth journey through this period.
The letter will cover five broad areas of gratitude I am thankful for during the pandemic period, and even after it:
- Food – until the pandemic, I’ve very much taken these for granted: meals at my favorite restaurants, daily coffee from the giant machine in the office pantry, and my wife’s weekend seafood meals.
- Love – with or without pandemic, life would be quite meaningless without this: loving my family and friends, and being loved in return.
- Growth – the activities I undertake and lessons I glean from these, while continuing to learn and grow to meet the challenges of an ever-changing environment.
- Investment – the activities I undertake, ideas I learnt from friends and the investment greats, while trying to build a bigger and more resilient nest-egg for my family.
- Awe – these are things that open my eyes to areas previously unknown, and broaden my mind to new perspectives.
